● Locate the folder that you want. Now you can see your folder right there on the taskbar.

● Create a new 32-bit DWORD value named NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers and give it a value of 1 to prevent automatic reboot while users are logged on. Delete the value to put things back to the way they were.

How to Log On Automatically in Windows 7?: If you are the only single person using your computer at home or office, then save your precious time while login. There is one way to make sure that Windows doesn't prompt you for a password when you log on.

● Type in netplwiz into the start menu search box, press Enter.

● On next screen uncheck the box that says "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer", and then hit Apply. You'll see a username and password box. Enter in the appropriate information here and click OK.

Turn on Remote Desktop on Windows 7 computer: This tool is not available with all editions of Windows 7. By default, you can access it if you have Windows 7 Ultimate, Pro, or Business editions.

STEP 1: You can either right-click the Computer icon and choose properties, or you can type in system into the start menu search box, and then find the entry for System.

STEP 2: Click the Remote Settings link and enable this option.

Add an additional clock: Windows 7 provides a new feature that allows you to set different time zones on a single computer. You can add one or two additional clocks to the Windows Taskbar. It would help you while contacting people, who stay in different cities or countries.

Steps to perform this task:

1. Click on the Taskbar clock and click “Change date and time settings”

2. On Next screen click the “Additional Clocks” tab.

3. Click “Show this clock” next to the first clock.

4. Next, click on the “Select time zone” pull-down to choose the desired time zone for the clock.

5. Next, “Enter display name”, give a name for your clock that will appear when you navigate your mouse over the Taskbar clock or click the Taskbar clock to show the larger clocks.

6. Repeat steps 3-5 for the second clock if you wish to add a second clock to the Windows 7 Taskbar.

One of the easiest ways to manage your computer and its file system is to regularly defragment your computer. The files become fragmented, as you use your computer. Your disk stores files in the same cluster and when you delete these files, gaps are left between files. When you install any application, it tries to use this empty space, which degrades performance in the program and your system.

Certain activities can cause your computer to fragment more quickly. Few problems with your computer are more inconvenient than working with a heavily fragmented disk. Your computer can literally slow to a crawl, to the point that getting anything done is almost impossible For instance, large installations, watching DVDs, or extensive Web surfing tends to impact performance. For these reasons, you should consider defragmenting your computer regularly.

Windows 7, like its predecessors Windows Vista, offers a disk defragmentation tool called Disk Defragmenter.

Use Disk Defragmenter to place all of the parts of a file in one contiguous, or adjacent, location. This procedure, which efficiently rearranges all of the iles and unused space, is called optimization. It makes your programs run faster and you can quickly access your files and folders.

Steps to perform this task:

STEP 1. Click the Start button- Programs-Accessories-System Tools and click Disk Defragmenter.

STEP 2. Click Configure schedule.

STEP 3. Select the Run on a schedule check box.

STEP 4. Click the list arrows, and then specify how often, what day, a what time.

STEP 5. Click Select disks, select the drives you want, and then click OK.

STEP 6. To defragment disks now, select the drives you want. Press and hold Ctrl to select more than one drive.

STEP 7. To analyze your disks to determine if you need defragmenting, click Analyze disks.

STEP 8. Click Defragment disks.

STEP 9. To quit the process, click Cancel Defragment.

In a nutshell, Windows 7 features a new graphical user interface for the Windows disk defragmentor that offers users with more control over defrag jobs and displays more detailed information about each job. You can also safely discard the defragmenting process any time without any adverse effects.

Like Windows Vista, Windows 7 allows for scheduled defragmentation jobs. Defragmentation is automatically scheduled by default, which means that most users will never have to adjust any settings in order to optimize disk performance. By default, the defragmenter is set to run at 1:00AM.

The ability to defragment multiple volumes simultaneously is also added in Windows 7, and the operating system will automatically disable defragmentation on any solid state disk since there's no need to defragment flash memory and continued write access to the disk could actually shorten its life.

Defragmentation in Windows 7 is more comprehensive – many files that could not be re-located in Windows Vista or previous editions can now be optimally re-placed. By default, defragmentation is not enabled on Windows Server 2008 R2. Given the variability of server workloads, defragmentation should be enabled and scheduled only by an administrator.

If a simple search from the Start menu Search box or the Search box in a Windows Explorer window doesn’t finds the item you want, then you can perform more advanced searches in the Search Results folder.

Your search basis can include the date of the file when it was created, its size, part of its name or title, its author, and any tags you might have listed as properties of the file. You can save a list of search parameters so that you can view updated results at any time. Saved searches are added to the Favorites group in Windows Explorer and are also present in the personal Searches folder.

You can change which file types and position are included in the Windows Search index at any time. You can change the search settings in the following places. In the Search tab of the Folder Options dialog box you can open the Folder Options dialog box by clicking Organize on the toolbar of any Windows Explorer window and then clicking on the Folder And Search Options on the Organize menu. You can specify whether Windows Search returns results from file contents as well as file names, whether results of folder-specific searches include files located in subfolders. Whether a search returns results that don’t match the search term but have, for example, a common root, and other options with the standard Windows Search scope. In the Change Selected Locations list, you can select or clear the check boxes of specific folders to show which should be included in the search index.

Last night finally i get along with my windows 7 experience, but don't know why was it only me who has got discouraged or their are some of more their in my followers list, surely there would be..

On a first impression it only seems as if windows 7 is just a vista make over nothing more than that and has just grown some what more complex then vista rather then summing up


Once again Microsoft has moved stuff around in the User Interface. After baffling its loyal users by completely changing the XP User Interface, So it started moving stuff, with the Control Panel taking the brunt of the abuse. Need to add a printer? Welcome to the new "Devices and Printers" applet! Looking for the "System and Maintenance" subgroup? It now has a new name: "System and Security." And can you guess where the Security subgroup went? No? Then it's time for some retraining!

System performance: with the same hardware requirements as vista it seemed as if Microsoft might have some thing to be patted for as with each of their releases a common history is the hardware requirement needs rises the bar of hardware cost. But sorry to comment some thing as 7 us as slow as vista, In fact, Windows 7's performance is virtually identical to that of Microsoft windows Vista SP1 on the same hardware. If you were unhappy with Vista's CPU-hogging, memory-sucking ways, Windows 7 will provide little relief.
